The aim is to drain the entire estate using grassed swales and limited pipe system, all of which feed a string of ponds within the central open space corridor, a space reminiscent of the Billabongs which flank the Murray River.
The landscape consists of mown and unmown grassed areas, regeneration areas for the iconic River Red Gums, an extensive path network, some boardwalk and playground in key areas.
The landscape concept is split into 2 distinct zones: the central more densely populated zone, when the landscape will be mown with family-type activities and the periphery where the landscape is to blend into the local bushland character of the Murray’s open riparian forest.
