The Catholic Cemeteries Board, who had recently purchased the Kemps Creek Cemetery in NSW was keen to plan its improvements in a well-informed and methodical fashion. By capitalising on its beautiful serene setting, the dam and its creek, the site has the potential to become a “boutique” cemetery offering a range of products not otherwise seen elsewhere.
The Master plan design tackles issues of stormwater management, preservation of endangered vegetation communities such as the Cumberland Plain woodland, access, potential for expansion and market expectations. The final masterplan report provided a thorough description of existing conditions, site analysis and detailed proposals, including perspectives, enlargement and plans, together with yield calculations for all types of interments proposed within the site.
